Billerica Recreation are in the final stages of their lifeguard orientation and trainings and are excited to let you know that Micozzi Beach (586 Middlesex Turnpike) will be opening for the season on Thursday, June 30th.
The beach will be open Thursday-Sunday each week with lifeguards on duty from 10 am - 7 pm. Beach use fee is $5 per car per day or $50 for a season pass (Season passes can be purchased at the Billerica Recreation Dept - 250 Boston Rd).
The Splash Pad at Manning State Park (39 Chelmsford Rd) is up and running, and ready for some fun!! Come on down and cool off. As a reminder, to access the water, place your hand on top of the fire hydrant until the sensor is activated. The Splash Pad is open daily from 9:30am-7pm. Starting June 27th, a $5/car entry fee will be collected or $50 for a season pass (Season passes can be purchased at the Billerica Recreation Dept - 250 Boston Rd). Passes are good for both the splash pad and Micozzi Beach
Once a month, from now until October the Billerica recreation has an outdoor movie night - check out the schedule on the Billerica Recreation website or follow their facebook page. Grab your friends or family, blankets or chairs, mosquito repellent, and snacks.
Summer concerts are now on Mondays in conjunction with the farmers market so you have double the fun! Do some shopping, grab a bite to eat and head over to the common for some great tunes!
With an array of parks to choose from, Billerica offers areas where you can enjoy playgrounds, basketball/tennis/pickleball courts, a disc golf course, bocce courts, horseshoe pits, a vollyball court, bmx bike trails, fishing areas, trails, canoe and kayak launches (rentals available for use on Nutting Lake at Micozzi beach) and so much more!
